Storage Pty is committed to supplying products that correspond with their descriptions and stated condition.
This Warranty Policy explains how we handle product faults, defects and warranty-related enquiries.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or replaces any statutory rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable UK law.

2. Products Covered
This policy applies to products purchased directly from Storage Pty.
Our products may include:
- New shipping containers
- One-trip shipping containers
- Used shipping containers
- Modified shipping containers
- Container offices and cabins
- Containers fitted with doors, windows or roller shutters
- Other container-related products displayed or offered by Storage Pty
The condition, specifications and included features of each product should be identified on the applicable product page, quotation, invoice or order documentation.
3. Your Statutory Rights
Products supplied by Storage Pty must meet the standards required by applicable UK consumer law.
Depending on the circumstances, consumers may have legal remedies where goods are:
- Faulty
- Not of satisfactory quality
- Not fit for a particular purpose that was made known and legally forms part of the purchase
- Materially different from their description
Your statutory rights exist independently of any additional manufacturer’s or commercial warranty that may apply to a particular product.
Nothing in this Warranty Policy is intended to reduce those rights.
4. Commercial or Manufacturer Warranties
Some products or installed components may be supplied with an additional manufacturer or commercial warranty.
Where an additional warranty applies, its existence, duration, coverage and relevant conditions will be communicated with the applicable product information or documentation.
Storage Pty does not represent that every product automatically carries an additional fixed-duration commercial warranty unless such a warranty is expressly stated for that product.
Any manufacturer’s warranty is subject to the manufacturer’s applicable terms and conditions.
A manufacturer’s or additional commercial warranty does not replace statutory consumer rights.
5. New and One-Trip Containers
Products described as new or one-trip will be supplied in the condition described on the relevant product page, quotation or order documentation.
Shipping containers are industrial products and may have minor cosmetic marks resulting from manufacturing, transportation, handling or, in the case of one-trip containers, their initial journey.
Minor cosmetic characteristics do not necessarily constitute a defect where they are consistent with the product’s stated condition and do not materially affect the agreed functionality of the product.
If a new or one-trip product has a fault or is materially inconsistent with its description, please contact us so that the matter can be assessed.
6. Used Containers
Products described as used have previously been in service and should not be expected to have the same cosmetic condition as a new container.
Depending on the particular unit and its disclosed condition, normal characteristics of a used container may include:
- Scratches
- Dents
- Surface marks
- Paint wear or fading
- Previous repairs
- Signs of previous transportation or handling
- Surface corrosion consistent with age and condition
- Other reasonable cosmetic wear
Normal wear or characteristics that were accurately disclosed before purchase are not treated as manufacturing defects merely because the product is used.
This does not affect your statutory rights where a used product is faulty, unsafe, materially misdescribed or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
7. Modified Containers
Modified containers may include installed features such as:
- Personnel doors
- Cargo doors
- Roller shutters
- Windows
- Electrical installations
- Lighting
- Plumbing
- Insulation
- Ventilation
- Internal partitions
- Flooring
- Interior finishes
- Other agreed modifications
Where Storage Pty supplies a modified container, the significant features included in the product should be identified in the applicable product description, quotation or order documentation.
If an installed feature supplied as part of your order develops a fault, contact us so that we can assess the issue and determine the appropriate remedy.
Where a component carries a separate manufacturer’s warranty, we may provide the relevant warranty information where applicable.
8. What Is Not Normally Considered a Product Fault
Subject to your statutory rights and the specific condition in which a product was sold, the following will not normally constitute a product fault by themselves:
- Normal wear and tear
- Cosmetic characteristics consistent with a product’s disclosed used condition
- Damage caused after delivery by misuse or neglect
- Damage caused by unauthorised alterations made after delivery
- Damage resulting from improper handling or relocation after delivery
- Damage caused by an unsuitable site or foundation after delivery
- Damage caused by accidents or external events occurring after delivery
- Deterioration resulting from a failure to undertake reasonable maintenance where maintenance is required
Whether an issue falls within one of these categories will depend on the circumstances.
These exclusions do not override rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Reporting a Fault or Defect
If you believe that a product purchased from Storage Pty has a fault or defect, please contact us at:
Email: sales@storagepty.com
Phone: +44 7466 234561
Please provide, where reasonably available:
- Your full name
- Order, quotation or invoice number
- Product details
- Delivery address
- A description of the problem
- Photographs showing the issue
- The approximate date when the issue was first noticed
Providing clear information can help us assess and resolve the matter efficiently.
10. Assessment of Warranty Claims
After receiving a warranty or fault report, we will review the information provided.
Depending on the nature of the issue, we may reasonably request additional photographs, information or an inspection before determining the appropriate resolution.
We will not reject a valid statutory claim merely because a customer describes it as a “warranty claim.”
The applicable remedy will depend on the nature of the problem, the product, its condition when sold, the circumstances and the customer’s applicable legal rights.
11. Repairs, Replacements and Refunds
Where a product does not conform to the contract, the remedies available will depend on applicable UK consumer law and the circumstances.
Depending on the situation, an appropriate remedy may include:
- Repair
- Replacement
- Price reduction
- Refund
The remedy available in a particular case may depend on factors including when the issue was identified, the nature of the fault and whether repair or replacement is appropriate.
Storage Pty will not use this Warranty Policy to remove a remedy to which a customer is legally entitled.
12. Damage During Delivery
If a product arrives with damage that you believe occurred during delivery, please contact Storage Pty as soon as reasonably possible.
Where possible, provide photographs showing:
- The affected area
- The overall product
- Any visible delivery-related damage
Prompt reporting can help us investigate delivery issues efficiently.
Failure to report an issue immediately does not automatically remove statutory rights that you may otherwise have.
13. Incorrect Products
If the product delivered is materially different from the product you ordered, contact us promptly.
Please provide your order details and photographs where appropriate so that we can investigate the discrepancy.
Where an incorrect product has been supplied, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law and the circumstances.
14. Customer Modifications After Delivery
Customers may choose to modify containers after delivery.
Storage Pty cannot accept responsibility for faults or damage directly caused by modifications, installations or alterations carried out after delivery by the customer or an unrelated third party.
However, an unrelated customer modification does not automatically remove legal rights concerning a separate fault that existed independently of that modification.
15. Site Preparation
Shipping containers should be placed on a suitable, stable and appropriately prepared area.
Customers are responsible for preparing the intended placement area unless Storage Pty has expressly agreed to provide that service.
Damage directly resulting from unsuitable site preparation after delivery may not constitute a product defect.
If you are uncertain about placement requirements, please contact us before delivery.
16. Returns and Refunds
Warranty and faulty-product claims are separate from ordinary change-of-mind returns.
For information about cancellations and general returns, please review our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Nothing in that policy or this Warranty Policy restricts statutory remedies available for faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods.
17. No Unstated Guarantees
Storage Pty does not make guarantees about a product that are not stated in the product description, quotation, invoice, order documentation or an applicable written warranty.
Customers should rely on the specifications and condition expressly stated for the product being purchased.
If a particular specification or feature is essential to your purchase, please contact us before ordering so that it can be confirmed.
18. Changes to This Policy
Storage Pty may update this Warranty Policy when necessary to reflect changes to our products, business practices or applicable requirements.
Any updated version will be published on storagepty.com with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Changes to this policy will not remove rights that have already arisen under an existing purchase or applicable law.
