Six things to check
Purpose
Will it store goods, house equipment, provide workspace or serve another use?
Condition
Confirm whether the specific unit is new, one-trip, used or refurbished, and request condition details.
Access
Choose end doors, side doors, shutter access or a combination that suits your loading needs.
Site preparation
Check ground level, drainage, suitable supports and adequate space for delivery equipment.
Fit-out
For offices and modified units, verify insulation, electrical work, ventilation, windows and plumbing.
Delivery
Confirm the delivery address, access width, overhead clearance, unloading method and full quoted cost.
Frequently asked questions
Is a high-cube container wider than a standard container?
Generally no. Standard ISO high-cube containers have approximately the same external width, but are about 305 mm taller.
Are modified containers always new?
No. Modified containers can start as new, one-trip or used units. Confirm the condition of the base container and the scope of the modification.
Are container offices ready to use on delivery?
Not necessarily. Fit-outs differ. Confirm the exact electrical, insulation, heating/cooling, plumbing and installation requirements before purchase.
Can a container be placed anywhere?
Site access, ground conditions, planning rules and intended use may affect placement. Check local requirements and delivery feasibility before ordering.
What is the difference between side-opening and tunnel containers?
Side-opening containers provide access along a side wall. Tunnel containers have cargo doors at both ends, enabling access from either end.
